Limited edition of 1500 copies of a tarot said “of Marseille” made in Fribourg, one of the most important centers of tarot production in German-speaking Switzerland, by the last artisan of this famous line of Masters of Master card makers founded by Claude Burdel, French card maker author of a famous Tarot made in 1751, also in Fribourg. Jacques took advantage of the achievements of his grandfather and father Xavier Burdel, who was able to help create this tarot (initials X.B. on map VII LE CHARIOR). To be noted the subtle abbreviations Ft, Pr, J, and Pe on the card XIII, which could well mean : made by Jean Proche, a famous engraver of this period. The deck of cards is wrapped in the reproduction of an original packing sheet.
